Thomas & Becca’s Hackness Grange Wedding

Thomas and Becca recently got married at the stunning Hackness Grange near Scarborough and what an incredible day it was! Built in the Early 19th Century, surrounded by hills and woodland, Hackness Grange is the picture perfect spot for a beautiful Yorkshire wedding.  They even have a fairytale outdoor ceremony location situated on an island within a lake.

Join me now as we relive Thomas and Becca’s stunning celebration through their wedding photographs.

The Day

We began with a relaxed morning in the Bridal Suite. Gorgeous morning light cascaded in through the floor-to-ceiling windows making for beautiful photographs as the ladies had their hair and make-up done.

Both the bride and groom got ready on site. The bride and her entourage made use of the fantastic dressing room for all their finishing touches. The groomsmen got into their suits in the main house, before heading down to welcome guests to the ceremony.

Wedding mornings can often be quite busy and hectic so it was really lovely to enjoy such a peaceful start to the day. Eleanor did a fantastic job of getting the ladies ready for the big day, there was even time to spare.

The Ceremony

Thomas and Becca’s ceremony was held on the stunning island in the middle of the lake. A wonderful string quartet played throughout and as a newly married couple, they arrived back over the bridge to a cascade of confetti from their guests.

After some group photos, the new Mr and Mrs Henson headed out to the gardens for some formal pictures with their families and bridal portraits together in the afternoon sun.

The Reception

We started with a selection of speeches from Becca’s dad followed by Thomas and finally his best man Joe, before guests tucked into a delicious wedding breakfast.

We were also treated to the most incredible hour of bridal portraits as the sun started to set. The clouds parted just as the sun dropped to the horizon and revealed the most epic Yorkshire scenery bathed in stunning golden light. We couldn’t believe our luck, it was like something straight out of a movie. I was absolutely delighted with how these images turned out. Their love and the joy between them shines out of every photograph.

The dance floor soon became the focal point of the evening. After Thomas & Becca shared their first dance as husband and wife, the band got the party started! The room was full of fun all night, a true reflection of the Bride and Groom.
