Robyn & Jack’s Sandburn Hall Wedding

Robyn & Jack recently got married at Sandburn Hall and what an incredible day it was! Nestled in a picturesque landscape with 1000 acres of serene lakes and enchanting woodland, Sandburn Hall is the picture perfect spot for a beautiful wedding.  Join me now as we relive Robyn & Jack’s stunning celebration through their wedding photographs!

The Day

What an absolute pleasure it was to be invited to capture the very special wedding of Robyn & Jack last month. These two are actually some of my closest friends. Living a stone’s throw away for the last half-decade, we’ve shared a sunny BBQ or 5 and spent countless afternoons with our little ones in soft-plays. Our children share even share the same name! So when they asked me to photograph their wedding, of course I said yes immediately.

I love weddings and discovering the details of each celebration. Knowing the couple so well made the day even more special.

The Morning

We began with a relaxed morning in the Bridal Suite. Gorgeous morning light streamed in through the windows making for beautiful photographs as the ladies had their hair and make-up done.

Both the bride and groom got ready on site. The bride and her entourage made use of the fantastic dressing room before moving to the bridal suite for the finishing touches. The groomsmen worked in reverse, getting ready in the bridal suite (and sharing a spot of dutch courage!) before heading down to welcome guests to the ceremony.

Wedding mornings can often be quite busy and hectic so it was really lovely to enjoy such a peaceful start to the day. Charly did a fantastic job of getting the ladies ready for the big day, there was even time to spare!

The Ceremony

A sunlit ceremony room with beautiful exposed beams made for a stunning ceremony. There were lots of opportunities to capture some beautiful images of the new Mr and Mrs Berry.

Robyn and Jack’s little boy had everyone laughing throughout as he kept a watchful eye on proceedings and was on hand to help the registrar out!

We were able to capture a romantic confetti walk before the new Mr and Mrs Berry headed out to the gardens for some formal pictures with their families.

The Reception

Jack gave the only speech of the afternoon before the wedding breakfast, filled with emotion, laughter and a huge surprise for guests!

Out of nowhere, we were also treated to the most incredible golden hour of sunlight for bridal portraits. The clouds parted just as the sun dropped to the horizon and what epic scenery. Super cinematic and straight out of a movie. I was absolutely delighted with how these images turned out. Their love shines through every image and the joy between them is almost palpable.

The dance floor soon became the focal point of the evening. After Robyn and Jack shared their first dance as husband and wife, the DJ got the party started! From retro sunglasses, to the dance-offs on the dance floor, the room was full of fun all night, a true reflection of the Bride & Groom.
