Recently I caught up with one of my wedding couples, Leanne & Will for their pre-wedding/engagement session.

It was quite the relief to be heading out to capture Leanne & Will’s engagement session as we had several dates previously tarnished by poor weather. The gorgeous, autumnal sun we had for the session on the day, really was the perfect reward for our patience!

We decided on Temple Newsom, near Leeds, as the location for their engagement session. It was where Will had proposed to Leanne so lots of sentimental value. As somewhere they also come often for walks it’s really familiar and comfortable. The format of my engagement session is really informal and relaxed. It’s an introduction to being in front of the camera ahead of your wedding day. Most people rarely spend time with professional cameras focussed on them, so it can be unnerving if you don’t have any opportunities to prepare. The idea is to help you move past any awkward feelings and to know how incredible you’ll look in your wedding photos! They also can be great for save-the-day notices or invitations. Every wedding booking with us includes one of these as standard.

Will and Leanne have chosen the spectacular Wharfedale Grange as their wedding venue. Wharfdale Grange is a Luxury Barn Wedding & Events Venue with its’ own wonderful Farmhouse accommodation. Located in the rolling hills of North Yorkshire just outside the spa town of Harrogate, Wharfedale Grange is situated on a picturesque 25 acre flower farm. It’s set to be the perfect backdrop for Will and Leanne’s wedding next year.

We got plenty of stunning photographs and also had chance to talk about their wedding itinerary and honeymoon plans. Below is a small selection of my favourite images from the photoshoot!
