Dan & Natasha booked their wedding at The Hawkhills. It’s a gorgeous 18th Century stately home and I regularly photograph weddings there as their preferred supplier. Though they booked well in advance of their wedding date, Dan & Natasha wanted to book their engagement photoshoot in for closer to the wedding day. They wanted the experience to still be fresh in their mind when we met again on their big day! All of my weddings include an engagement/pre wedding photoshoot as part of the booking. This can be arranged for any point between the initial booking and the wedding day itself. It’s a great way for us to get to know each other and give you valuable experience in front of the camera.

These engagement photoshoot is always a really informal, relaxed session. We meet somewhere that you’re comfortable and familiar with – a local estate parkland or the lake you walk your dogs at for example. Then we just go for a walk, chat about your wedding and take some beautiful photos!

We arranged for the gorgeous city of Durham for their engagement photoshoot. What looked like unclear weather midweek turned out to be a glorious sun-soaked afternoon! We met in the heart of the city and went for a walk along the riverside. The whole meeting was only around an 1.5 hours. We not only got plenty of stunning engagement photographs, but also had chance to talk about their wedding itinerary. Below is a small selection of my favourites from the engagement photoshoot!
