Katie & Kim’s Majestic Harrogate Wedding Photography, North Yorkshire

Katie & Kim recently got married at the stunning Majestic Harrogate and what an incredible day it was. The Majestic is the picture perfect spot for a beautiful city centre wedding. The Majestic is an impressive Victorian building, nestled in manicured grounds just a stones throw from the bustle of central Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

The Day

It was a pleasure to be invited to photograph this North Yorkshire Wedding. We began the relaxed morning with candid wedding photography in The Majestic’s dressing room suite. Wedding mornings can often be quite busy and hectic so it was lovely to enjoy such a peaceful start to the day. The hair and make-up teams did a stunning job with the bride and her bridal party.

The Majestic Harrogate is more than able to accommodate both parties’ preparations seamlessly given its impressive size. While the bride squad were in the dressing suite with huge bay window streaming gorgeous light in, the groom was at the far side of the hotel putting the final touches to his suit. This meant I was able to move between both parties really easily and capture moments they’re able to treasure forever, from parts of the day the other person wouldn’t ever otherwise get to see.

The Ceremony

A beautiful, emotional ceremony with readings from family members was the perfect way to seal their marriage contract, before we headed outside not just for a confetti walk on the steps.

We spilled out onto the sun-kissed lawn for group and family formal photographs then, while guests headed inside to enjoy cocktails and canapés, we stole away to the grounds for some bridal portraits with the happy couple.

The Reception 

Guests were treated to a round of speeches filled with love and laughter, before the wedding breakfast began.

We then kicked off the evening’s festivities by Katie & Kim taking to the floor for their first dance, with the DJ having everyone dancing from then on.

Everyone partied long into the night, refuelling from the sweet cart and making use of all the fun party props – definitely some air-guitar heroes! With the festivities in full swing I didn’t pack away to leave The Majestic Harrogate until nearly 11pm.
